A quantity of sand has a mass of 1200g and a volume of 750cm^3. What is the density of sand?


Correct Answer: 1.6 g/cm^3 (which I got)


the part I’m confused on is as follows......


The volumes of sand in the bag was the same as the volume of the idol. What is the mass of sand in the bag? (See question 6)

A good statue has a volume of about 1.5L. How many cm^3 is this?


I got 1,500 (2sf) /1(1sf) =1,500cm^3 which rounded to the correct number of significant figures is 2,000cm^3 (which should be the correct answer, no?)


I got it wrong^^^

In response to the question...I did.....

2000(1.6) =3,200 which rounded to the correct figure is (3,000) but some how it’s incorrect.


Am I doing it correctly and it’s just a flaw on behalf of the teacher?
