mass = density * volume ... 8.92 gm/cm^3*25cm^3=223 gm
volume = mass/density ... 454 gm / 8.92 gm/cm^3 = 50.89 cm^3

Density is defined as mass/volume or D = M/V
A. D = 8.92 gm/cm3, V = 25.0 cm3
and M = D x V
Therefore, M = 8.92 gm/cm3 x 25 cm3 = 223 gm (the cm3 cancel out)
B. V = M/D
Therefore V = 454 gm / 8.92 gm/cm3 = 50.9 cm3 (the gm cancel out)

Density of 8.92 g/cm3 simply means that each cm3 will weigh 8.92 g. To solve the problem, simply use dimensional analysis.
25 cm3 x 8.92 g/cm3 = 223 g
454 g x 1 cm3/8,92 g = 50.9 cm3
