f(2) = 8 per the graph
while g(2) = -3(2)+2 = -8 +2 = -6
so f(2) > g(2)
f(-2) = 0 per the graph
while g(2) = -3(-2)+2 = 6+2=8
so f(-2) < g(-2)

asked 09/02/19The figure below shows a graph of the function f(x) in the coordinate plane. A second function, g, is defined by g(x) = -3x + 2.
a) Graph g(x) on the same coordinate plane with f(x).
b) How does f(2) compare to g(2)? (Hint: less than, greater than, or equal to)
c) How does f(-2) compare to g(-2)?
Please explain step by step. And what should the graph look like?
