Hi there! Translating functions can be tricky! Since this translation is moving to the right, we will be dealing with the X axis. That means we will be changing the original function inside of the parentheses with the X. When you move a graph six units to the right, you would think we would be adding six. But when we move the graph along the x-axis we actually do the opposite. So instead of adding six inside of the parentheses with the X, we are going to subtract six.
P(x) = (x + 3 - 6)^2 + 2
P’(x) = (x -3)^2 + 2
