There is an app you can download from the Google Play Store called "Drawing Grid Maker". It should take care of anything you want as far as laying a grid and there are more options available in the app.
As far as drawing a grid that won't be printed over your personal drawing: There are colored pencils that come in the color "No copy blue". Draw your grid with these. When you copy or print your drawing there will be no sign of the grid or any other marks made with those pencils.
