Beginning with drawing?

I want to begin with drawing but I have literally no experience. I wonder if there are high quality video tutorials, like www.digitaltutors.com just for drawing?I want to start with hard surface objects. Also would you recommend me to begin with a pencil or with a tablet?

Hello! I recommend starting with pencil just because it will help strengthen the hand eye coordination needed to draw. But don't let the materials stop you, if you want to practice in a sketchbook somedays and on your tablet on others then do it! As for videos, it really depends on what you are trying to learn first. But I will recommend searching for videos that go over, line weight and form, light and shadow, and rendering to start with. Those topics will help you build a foundation from which you can draw anything. Also websites such as How to Think When You Draw are very helpful mini tutorials. http://theetheringtonbrothers.blogspot.com/p/every-how-to-think-when-you-draw.html
