The most important thing to remember in this problem is that you hav+e a negative number in front of parentheses. This negative sign (-1) MUST be distributed into the second set of parentheses before combining like terms.

0.75g - 2.2 - 3.25g + 1.6

=-2.5g-0.6

That is simplified. It cannot be solved because it does not have an equal sign.
