Are there oligocellular organisms in nature and, if so, what are they like?

I'd think protozoans can be oligocellular, but I haven't found any examples, and I'm curious to know what is the minimum number of cells an organism can have other than a single cell.

Protozoa are single-celled eukaryotes. From a review of the recent literature, it appears no oligocellular organisms have been documented. I would hypothesis that this would be due to being oligocellular has no significant advantage over single-cellular or multi-cellular organisms.
