How do I solve?

Shawn has a piggy bank full of coins. One day he counted them and said that he had an equal number of

pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. His father, Glenn, handed him three coins. Shawn now had $7.22. What

were the three coins that his father gave him?

In pennies, the amount is p+5n+10d + 25q = x + 5x + 10x + 25x = 41x

x cannot be 18 because then Shawn will have 738 which is too much.

The largest amount his father could have given is 75 cents.

So x = 17 ---> he had 17*41 =697 which is 25 cents short of 722

2 dimes and a nickel will do the trick...
