By brainstorming the flaws in your own character, as well as within family, friends, and anyone you've ever known or even heard/read about. Whatever you write about, always VISUALIZE how it might manifest itself in REAL LIFE.
That is, carry your story about a fictional character's "human condition" over to ANY non-fictional characters' "human condition" within your own experience. You may be surprised at what materializes!
