Bamboo is in the family Poaceae, the grass family. Species in Poaceae are monocots, and their vascular tissue is scattered in bundles. It will be in the stem area, surrounding the hollow section, if that makes sense. The link below has an excellent view of the bundles in a cross section of bamboo.
