What would effect the water content of a meteorite?
What is different between Mars and Earth regarding this effect.
Maybe also look a Venus in this question.
We have meteorites in general should have about the same water composition before interacting with solar forces. What is the tail composition and why is it directed away from the sun as the meteorite orbits the sun?
Does a planetary orbit with a greater diameter have a greater cross-section for meteorite encounters?
Perhaps two factors there are fewer meteorites that impact Mars versus Earth due to the cross-section of the orbits with possible meteorite orbits. The composition of the meteorites nearer the sun have a reduced water content due to the boiling off of the water into the tail as compared to those that impact the Earth.
Does this correlate to observations for Venus?
