Premier professional teacher--results immediately apparent.
England's IR was fueled--not only by coal..tsk, tsk--but by a powerful desire for unprecedented profits on a grand scale. Thus, technology had to play a central role in such an epochal event--and it most certainly did. In a sense, it was also the next logical step for the inexorable "Rise of the Middle Class" (you know--the business guys, who today would be the, familiar corporate giants like Boeing, Microsoft, etc.), which was hell-bent on fully wresting supremacy from the previous Kings of the Mountain--the Royalty and Aristocracy.
Nothing better could accomplish that than an Industrial Revolution and subsequent "coup" by the great financial power bloc (e.g., bankers). They succeeded beyond anyone's wildest dreams, and that is where we are today. Lesson Learned? NOTHING CHANGES THINGS BETTER THAN A GOOD, OLD FASHIONED REVOLUTION!!!
