a.	Find the mean number of breweries for states east of the Mississippi.
b.	Find the mean number of breweries for states west of the Mississippi.
c.	Find the median number of breweries for states east of the Mississippi.
d.	Find the median number of breweries for states west of the Mississippi.
e.	Does one region have a lot more breweries per state than the other, or are they about the same?
f.	The sample of western states happens to include California. Remove California from the sample of western states, and compute the mean and median for the remaining western states.
g.	How does the removal of California affect the comparison of the number of breweries between eastern and western states?

Parts a and b) mean is the average. Add up the number of breweries and divide by the number of states

Parts c and d) median is the number where you have the same number of data points above and below that number. Sort the numbers from smallest to largest and find the middle number. If there are an even number of data points (as there are for the category east of the Mississippi) then the median is the average of the two middle numbers

Parts e, f, and g will be answered by comparing the answers you found in a-d
