Eukaryotic cells have an enclosed nucleus, and compartmentalized sections of the cytosol (organelles).
The nucleus is a double-membrane organelle found in eukaryotic cells and is essentially the information center of the cell: it is where DNA replication, and transcription take place. The nucleus is also home to the nucleolus, which is an important site for the synthesis of ribosomes.
