Hola! Based on years of experience either emailing, texting or writing snail mail letters to Spanish-speakers, there doesn't seem to be the great variation of what we English-speakers do with the "LOL", "LMFAO", "ROFL" and so on. All I've seen and used is what you described: jajaja, jejeje or jijiji. The speaker may insert an emoji with varying degrees of laughter and tears, but I haven't seen anything other than that in texting language.
