Father is 29 years old. Son is 5 years old.
3 years ago Father was 26, and son was 2. 26=13 x 2
In 3 years, Father will be 32 and son will be 8. 32 = 4 x 8
Set up the problem with 2 equations
Let F = father's age now, and S= son's age now
Then F-3 = 13(S-3) and F+3= 4(S+3)
Simplify, subtract one equation from the other and solve for one age, then
substitute to get the other age.
Or plot the 2 equations on a graph and see where they intersection.
The intersection point will have the F and S coordinates of their current ages.

I already figured it out, I only had F-3=13 S i forgot the S- 3 but thank you06/16/19
