While I believe that this is the answer they're looking for, I have to add that this is a poorly written problem. It is technically impossible for 50% to be the real answer. It's not really a big deal, except for the fact that math is a very precise subject. As almost anyone who has ever taken a math test knows, it is unforgiving of even minor inaccuracies. People who are not precisely accurate in their use of English in math word problems risk confusing students who try to work with what a question actually says. "Well, you know what I mean." isn't good enough.
