An entryway floor has a circle rug. The rug has a circumference of 6 times 3.14 (pi). The tiles are 2 feet by 2 feet. how many tiles can there be on the entryway floor

circumference= 6 x 3.14

diameter= 6

It isn't clear exactly what they're asking. My best guess is how many tiles would be necessary to provide a floor space large enough to accommodate the rug, so I'll go with that.

The circumference is Pi*D, so the note about D=6 is true.

It needs a 3 by 3 2-foot tile square that will be the same width and height as the circle rug. There must be at least 9 tiles.
