Find Ashley's speed

Ashley left the movie theater driving west three hours before Kali. Kali drove in the opposite direction going 20 km/h faster then Ashley for two hours after which time they were 215 km apart. Find Ashley's speed

K=A+20 where K and A are Kali and Ashley's speeds in kph

After 2 hours since Kali left, they're 215 km apart

Ashley left 3 hours earlier, for a total 5 hours driving time

distance = speed times time

215 = 5A + 2K = 5A + 2(A+20) = 5A +2A + 40

7A = 215-40 = 175

A = 175/7 = 25 kph

K = 25+20 = 45 kph

5(25) + 2(45) = 125 +90 = 215 km
