Is this a trick question

I have 45 pencils in a box. My friend takes 25 from a bag. I take 20 from the box. How many pencils are left in the box? Everyone usually says 25 however the big question is "is the bag of pencils in the box?" Because then the answer could be 0.

I think it would be a trick question if it is important to pay attention to the wording. However, you are asking a good questions! After you take 20 pencils from the box, there will be 25 pencils left. But if your friend took 25 from a bag that is independent of the box with the pencils, then there would still be 20 pencils in the box. If the bag refers a bag in the box of pencils, then there would be no pencils left.
