Set this up using a proportion, 1 in : 5 mm = 2.5 in : x mm
if you take cross products you get 1x = 5 (2.5 ) or
x = 12.5 mm
So, the scale is a square with sides 2.5 in, the actual square has sides 12.5 mm
P = 4S and A = S2
Now that you know the sides (S) you can find the perimeter and area of each square.
