Two important contributions the puritans made were discussing the significance of all people learning to read, write, and know mathematics in school. This led to schools being made nationwide in the U.S.A. and children going to school in the present day. Another important contribution the puritans made was making Congregationalist churches in the U.S.A. and breaking away from the church of England. Puritans believed in God, being righteous, and being self-reliant. This meant the Puritans were committed to one person’s will, morally right, and helped other people grow spiritually.
