Cell motility is a very important phenomenon in the human body. In your cells, there are organelles called microtubules. These microtubules are like a skeleton system for your cells - just like pillars in a building. Now these pillars have different proteins that can travel along the pillars and transfer nutrients etc. One special protein is called dynein. This protein can attach to multiple microtubules and move one of them using the other as an anchor. This allows cells to move as their whole skeletal system is displaced. This phenomenon is very important in cell division and phagocytosis just to name a few scenarios.
