A food pantry is making packages. Each package weighs 72 pounds. Each package contains bags of beans and a 6-pound bag of rice.How much those the rice weigh?

I'm confused by this question. Do you mean "How much does the rice weigh"? And unless the question is missing information, it weighs six pounds. You stated that the package "contains...a six pound bag of rice".
