I have seen many articles that use quotes from players like: > We gonna [sic] be working hard over the summer cause we gotta [sic] get better. What is *sic*? Where does it come from?

The word “sic” is Latin meaning “thus or in this manner”. It means that when quoting something that has an error in it, you can’t change or correct the error. It must be quoted exactly as written. You need to place sic in brackets after the error.
