What is the best way to treat conjunctivitis?

My right eyelid has been infected with it for over 4-5 months now. I have used eye drop, antibiotics with no result. What could be the reason? No itching at all and no pain.

Do you use eye makeup by any chance? If so, did you throw it out with the initial infection? Bacteria accumulates with eye makeup, which could cause you to be reinfected. I know makeup is expensive, but this could be the solution for you.
