Hello!
Assuming there are no parentheses in this problem, we can start by creating our own. Remember PEMDAS (Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally = Parentheses Exponents Multiplication Division Addition and Subtraction) is the order that we will simplify this in. So using this we want to go through the list. We don't have parentheses or exponents, but we do have multiplication. So we will do:
3 + 8 - (6x3) +7 = 3 + 8 - 18 + 7
From here, because they are all addition and subtraction, we will go ahead and just add or subtract the values going from left to right:
(3+8) - 18 + 7 = (11 -18) + 7 = -7 + 7 = 0
Hope this makes sense!
