In this algebraic phrase, the Order of Operations rule "kicks" in. First, multiply the 5 times the -2 for a result of -10 (negative times positive = negative). Then add (combine) the 7 with the -3 for a result of 4. Lastly, combine the 4 with the -10 for a result of -6. I hope this helps.
