How can I fix my participial phrase?

I have to create a "supersentence" which consists of an independent clause, adverb clause, noun clause, gerund phrase, prepositional phrase, infinitive phrase, and participial phrase. I have all of it done but I keep getting the participial phrase wrong.

My sentence is: When she saw the homework, Uma who was frustrated fought what she hated from the outside to release hurting tension.

I said that my participial phrase was "that was hurting" but my teacher said that it is a clause. He also wrote on my correction that I have one but what I wrote isn't in the sentence.

When she saw the homework, Uma, who was becoming frustrated, fought to strenuously control her urge to run out of the classroom, as she had done previously.

independent clause - Uma fought to control her urge to run

dependent clause - When she saw the homework

adverb clause - strenuously control

noun clause - who was becoming frustrated

gerund phrase - becoming frustrated

prepositional phrase - to control her urge

infinitive phrase - to run

participial phrase - as she had done previously
