The main reason is that, unlike bacteria, viruses are not considered "alive" because they cannot replicate by themselves nor do they have a metabolism meaning that they do not need any sort of energy to be maintained or "survive". Biological kingdoms like archaea and others are reserved for living organisms. Hope this helps!
