I'm not sure what you're asking because there doesn't appear to be any conflict between the Jerusalem of today and that of 2000 years ago. Even in today's Jerusalem there are sections of the old city which have been preserved and are venerated.
What historical evidence do we have to identify Jesus with Jerusalem?
Not to get too vague, nor specific, it's my laymans' understanding that Jesus was identified around/from/had recordation of living in Jerusalem.
If the Bible tells us this, how do we identify today's modern map of Jerusalem (or surrounding area), with the place that Jesus existed - what geological and quantitative evidence do we have?
