select the five terms

Select the first five terms in the geometric sequence a n =(2)^n-1 , starting with ^n=1

A. (2,4,8,16,64)

B. (1,2,4,8,16)

C. (1,2,4,6,8)

D. (2,4,6,8,10)

This is really a substitution problem. Start by replacing the n with a 1. This will give you 2^(1-1) which is 2^0. This equals 1because anything raised tho the zero power equals 1. This eliminates a and d as answers. The question is about the powers of 2 not the multiples so which ids the best response?
