Let's assume the genotype of a black bird is BB and the genotype of a white bird is WW. When you set up the Punnett square, all offspring will have a genotype of BW.
When you cross a black bird with a bluish gray bird, you are crossing genotype BB with genotype BW. The Punnett square should yield two boxes with genotype BB and two boxes with genotype BW.
I would expect 50% of the offspring to be Black birds (genotype BB) and 50% of the birds to be Grayish Blue birds (genotype BW).
