How to read Figure xx.x or Section xx.x?

I wonder that whether there is a special reading way pertaining to American or British. For example, > Figure 12.3 shows a paused video touched on in Section 2.10 with the > width, height, and duration showing. Is *Figure twelve point three shows a paused video touched on in Section two point ten* right?

Well I am from South Africa and we use British English and as to your question, Figure xx.x or Chapter xx.x etc. is read the same way. I am not so sure exactly what you mean but, yes, this applies to anything. It is just a guild when it comes to exams especially.

E.g. QUESTION 1

1. What is the mass of a planet that is.....

1.1 Question1

1.2 Question 2

etc.
