Is this slogan grammatically correct?

I've been wanting to use a slogan but I don't know if it makes sense. The slogan is: *Never forget 2013, the year of great elation.* It sounds okay but someone told me that I need to rewrite it as "the year which one experienced great elation" but that's too long and sounds like I'm trying to use "big words" if you know what I mean.

How about this? "Never Forget 2013: The Year of Great Elation." The colon is a useful punctuation device when used properly. In this case, there is a one-to-one relationship between the first clause and the second, so a colon is appropriate.

Your slogan is grammatically correct. I would not rewrite it according to the suggestion you were given, as it is grammatically incorrect (should be "the year IN which") and sounds very awkward.
