I'm a web designer with few years of experience, done lots of various projects. I've got some straight graphic design experience as well, but never been expanding some territories. People who like my designs often ask for other things, like logo design for example. As far as i can easly find out a concept i find a big gap that comes from my lack of decent drawing skills. So, the question is, is there any systematic way, or some great course, that helps learning drawing? I usually find out a simple answer - just draw stuff, but as I'm very busy man, i can save around 20-30 minutes a day to practice, but i could really use some path, that would help me working out on my technical skills. Thanks
Unfortunately any art goes relatively hand in hand with traditional methods of drawing. The simplest answer is practice constantly. Many of us are quite busy with various other tasks in our day to day but the only true method to get better at drawing is practice. It is great you can set aside that 20-30 minutes a day! Sometimes that is all you need. Try to challenge yourself by just drawing simple objects on your desk or kitchen table for that full time. Next I would refresh yourself on the different perspectives and move onto more detailed objects. You'll find through time it will get easier and you'll get faster at drawing things. It is part muscle and mental memory as well as skill of course. Just keep a small sketchbook and truly fill in that 30 minutes a day to sketching various objects. Don't be afraid to challenge yourself!
