We have to change what we are given and put it into quadratic form. So,

2x²+x+5 = x²-x+20

-x² -x²

--------------------------

x²+x+5 = -x+20

+x +x

--------------------------

x²+2x+5 = 20

-20 -20

------------------------

x²+2x-15 = 0
