It appears to be a simple (3,4,5) Pythagorean triplet problem. If the legs are 3a³ and 4a³, the hypotenuse of this right triangle must be 5a³, and the perimeter is therefore the sum of the three sides or 12a³.

Note that the expression gets complicated if the legs are (3a)³ and (4a)³...but that's rather unlikely.
