I want to say in Italian:I've been awake for 5 days.My attempt:Sono cinque giorni che sono sveglio.Is this translation correct?Thank you.

Not necessarily, when you say: I have been awake for 5 days, it implies that this action happened in the past and it is over, so the translation would be: SONO STATO SVEGLIO PER 5 GIORNI

If instead you meant; I AM BEING AWAKE FOR 5 DAYS (IT MEANS THAT YOU ARE STILL AWAKE NOW then the translation would be SONO (present) 5 giorni che sono sveglio ( and I am still awake)

"SONO SVEGLIO DA CINQUE GIORNI" it`s better, as it preserve same subject and same use of preposition: FROM becomes DA.
