A Parse error basically means there is something wrong in a PHP file Since WordPress, themes and plugins are mostly coded in PHP eithe developer didn't check their code or their is a glitch. But it really depends on the situation. If its a plugin simply disable and delete and reinstall. Unless of course your PHP is solid enough to fix it.
