He showed me several short cuts to using NetBeans that make the work go much faster. That is on top of showing me how to learn what I need to learn in my Java projects. He can move at whatever speed you need to learn depending on your experience level. He is very good at explaining why and how Java works because if you know those things you never forget how to do something because a small amount of review will bring it all back to the surface.
Mark is a great tutor. He started out with basic object-oriented programming concepts at a comfortable pace. Mark is able to describe difficult concepts in terms that I can easily relate to. Using Team Viewer and Skype is a great way for me to learn. I would prefer that rather than physically meeting at a location to study. By being able to share screens, I can open up my programs I have been working on in class and he can jump right in and help me from my screen.
