x + 4 is one example
It has two terms that cannot be combined. We can insert any number for x, but 4 will always be 4.
Any math sentence that has more than one term is a polynomial.
Remember polygons a few years ago? While they have different names, some of them end with -gon, like pentagon or hexagon.
So, you'll see "binomials" that have 2 terms (like x + 9 OR a + b), "trinomials" with 3 terms (like a + m + 4 OR x2+ 3x + 9)
