How do I convert Percent to a Decimal
More
1 Expert Answer
My algebra teacher taught me that the percent sign is the eyes of an angry moster. Run away two places to make it a decimal. Now the monster is gone, so run back two places.
23% = 0.23
Orrrrr, "percent" means for each 100. 23% = 23/100.
Twenty three hundredths is written as 0.23.
35% = 0.35 = 35/100
250% = 2.5 = 250/100

When I convert percents to decimals I pretend there’s an imaginary decimal after 90% for example I move it left from behind the 0 two times and I get from 90% to 0.90 It’s like there’s an imaginary decimal: 90. in 90% though there isn’t one Hope this helped?03/14/19
