From the question we can say that the pumping rate of A = 2 * B;
Let's have a look at each pump's rate:
For pump B, let's assume the worst case as clearly it is the slower one out of the two pumps.
= So in 1/2 hours, pump B can pump (18000L / (1/2 hours)) = 36000 L / hour
For pump A, we know that it is twice as fast as pump B;
= A = 2 * B = 2 (36000 L / hour) = 72000 L / hour
