Help me work out my grade

Question

For one of my university essays, I scored 57/100. That essay was worth 30%.

After that, I did an exam that was also out of 100 and made up the remaining 70% of my overall grade.

However, I did not find out my mark for my exam. Overall I scored 55.

Can anyone help me figure out what my exam grade could have been?

55 = .3(57) + .7x

37.9 = 7x

54 = x
