Registered Nurse looking to help nursing students on a budget

I am a nurse and in nursing school, we had to write about nurse practitioners and how much they are needed in primary care/contribute to primary care, especially because there is a shortage of primary care physicians, especially in rural areas. The needs of the baby boomer population exceed the amount of healthcare resources we have i.e. nurses and primary care physicians. There are even some physicians who do not want to take patients on Medicare because of the low reimbursement rate they receive from the government.
You could argue that there is a need for more physician assistants in healthcare and they could handle Medicare patients to lessen the workload of physicians or that they could travel to more rural areas to help meet the healthcare needs of rural communities.
Let me know if you need any more advice! Good luck!
