Greetings! Lets solve this shall we ?
So, we must find out how much 4 shirts will cost after the 50% discount is applied along with the tax. Then, since its a buy one shirt, get one shirt half off, we apply this rule to say that we bought two at whole price and got two at half price. Two halves make one whole so we really bought 4 shirts for the price of 3. Mathematically,
$12.94(3) = $38.82..............Then we apply the tax of 6.2 percent such that
.062($38.82) = $2.40684............Then we add this to $38.82 such that
$38.82 + $2.40684 = $41.22684 = $41.23
I hope this helped!
