The rule is F = 9C/5 + 32 Note that C = 5*(F - 32)/9
Freezing point for C is 0 and for F is 32
F = 9*0/5 + 32 = 0+32 = 32.
Boiling point for C is 100 and for F is 212
F = 9*100/5 + 32 = 180+32 = 212
-40C is -40F
