Manifest destiny was a widely held belief in the UNited States during the 19th century that settlers were destined to expand all the way across North America. It was a belief in expansionism by conquest. It was based on the view that Americans had special importance and needed to redeem and reform the west to make more of an agricultural society. This was thought to be an essential duty or destiny of settlers.
The Monroe Doctrine was somewhat similar to manifest destiny in terms of American foreign policy When President James Monroe announced the doctrine in 1823, it was around the same time that Manh Americans believed in the philosophy of manifest destiny. Basically, the Monroe doctrine was that America is not going to be involved or interfere with the internal affairs or wars between European countries, the US recognized existing European colonies In the western world and would not disrupt them but no future European colonization of the US would be allowed and any European attempt to exercise power or control over the Western Hemisphere would be viewed as a threat to the US national security / act of war.
So the Monroe Doctrine was a clear dividing line. America would respect what Europe had done up until that date in the Western Hemisphere, but going forward the US was breaking ties with Europe, no future European encroachment on Western lands in North America would be tolerated. That is because many Americans (though not all) believed that they were destined to fulfill a duty to expand Westward and be left alone to spread the special virtues of US people and institutions. The tDoctrine and Manifest destiny fit together: it was a clear message to Europe that the US had its own independent culture and destiny so Europe should stay out of the picture and allow Americans to fulfill their westward expansion.
Hope this helps. I wrote this to help you understand how the concepts fit together. If this were an actual essay, I would recommend starting with a thesis, devoting a paragraph each concept (Monroe Doctrine and Manifest Destiny), explain how they relate to the Compromise / foreign policy, and then a paragraph explaining ho the concepts relate to each other to support your thesis. In addition to providing history tutoring, I also help students with writing. I have lots of additional strategies to write a strong essay for this type of question through private tutoring.
All the best,
